Ms EA, I don't agree with you but I understand how you feel. at micro-level: [the world of I. Myself and I] ,the ulitmate frastration of ~ why are you treating me as a production worker.. why must you set the unrealistic target/goal.. if the target is easy attainable.. why set it in the first place? The target is to motivate us to know where we are and how can we try to get there. And, the management don't sit across you.. one of the measure of your capability is whether you can attain that goal.. ~ note if u guys need to clear 5 workitems a day.. that would translate that I have to review 20 cases a day right? [ by handling sloppy work.. won't ur efforts be duplicated cuz I need to scan thru' every single thing you do...??]

Being a leader for 3.5 months (and counting...) has NOT been easy for me..

• people quote and misquote you. [you can't say the wrong things.]
• people expect you to have the answer {all the time}. If you don't, you are expected to find out.
• people expect you to be more understanding/ less demanding
• You gotta learn to balance respect and authority when dealing with officers more senior to you but has to report to you.
• people expect you to be perfect (no man is perfect!)
• Your boss expect results from your people when your people don't move.
• You gotta learn to motivate them even when you aren't at your best moment.
• You have to smile... at all times.. taking the humble pie even when you're not at fault.
